Affiliate disclosure

Evolure Select earns money from affiliate commissions. This page explains exactly how, in plain language, because a disclosure nobody can understand is not a disclosure.

How it works

Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one and then buy from that seller, the seller pays us a percentage of the sale.

You pay the same price. The commission comes out of the seller's margin, not out of your pocket. You are not charged extra and you do not get a worse deal for using our link.

We mark affiliate links clearly at the point where you would click them, not only on this page. Links that pay us nothing are not marked, because there is nothing to disclose.

Who pays us right now

• Pianoforall. Affiliate relationship through ClickBank. We earn a commission on sales made through our link.

Everyone else we write about pays us nothing. When we link to a company that does not pay us, we link to them normally, with no tracking of any kind, because the point of a comparison is that you can go and check.

This list changes as guides are added. It is kept current on this page.

What the commission does not buy

This is the part that matters, so it is stated flatly:

• No company pays us to write a positive review. Payment happens only if a reader chooses to buy, after reading.
• No company sees a page before it is published, and no company has any right of approval, correction or removal over what we write.
• Being an affiliate for a product does not make it the recommendation. In our piano guide we recommend against the product we are paid for, for several specific types of reader, and we name its disadvantages in the same detail as everyone else's.
• We say when the right answer is to buy nothing. That answer earns us zero and we publish it anyway.

The obvious objection

You should still read us with the incentive in mind. An affiliate site makes money when you buy something, so it has a reason to nudge you toward buying. That is true of every site in this category, including this one, and no disclosure makes it untrue.

What you can do about it is check us. Every factual claim we make carries the source and the date it was read. If a source does not say what we say it says, write to us and we will correct it publicly.
